(HONG KONG – December 1, 2008) ASC Fine Wines – “China’s Greatest Importer of Fine Wine” (Robert M. Parker, Jr.) is opening its doors in Hong Kong tonight in style with a celebratory wine tasting for some of Hong Kong’s wine aficionados.

Hong Kong’s Government is working to quickly transform Hong Kong into one of the world’s most important and influential wine hubs. ASC stands for Asia Solutions Corporation – and by opening in Hong Kong, ASC will provide its customers with a high quality solution for wine needs.

Created to meet growing demand for fine wines, ASC Hong Kong will provide a hand-picked portfolio of wines to cater to Hong Kong’s retail, trade and direct sales wine customers.

“We are extremely pleased to be able to start our business in Hong Kong with such a strong portfolio of wine brands,” said ASC Fine Wines CEO Don St. Pierre, Jr. “Our approach to our Hong Kong business can be summed up in three words: iconic wine brands,” he said.

Located in bustling Causeway Bay, ASC’s Hong Kong office will be led by a veteran team which knows the local market dynamics and who understand the needs of Hong Kong’s wine customers.

A focus on hiring Hong Kong’s “Wine A-Team” was of paramount importance to ASC.

The ASC Hong Kong team is helmed by Robert Temple. Temple is an industry insider with a long career of building drinks brands and driving results. Previously with Maxxium in Hong Kong, he understands all facets of the drinks business: from sales and logistics, to regulatory issues and marketing. Temple also oversees ASC’s Macau operation.

Samuel Lai is the ASC Hong Kong Logistics Manager; he previously held senior logistics positions with leading wine and spirits companies in Hong Kong.

Thibaut Mathieu leads the Marketing team while Gareth Punton is the ASC Hong Kong Director of Sales. Thibaut joins ASC Hong Kong after six years of hands-on experience in the drinks business in mainland China and Hong Kong where he led Marketing teams. Gareth Punton joins ASC from Kedington Wines, where he led sales in Hong Kong and Macau.
