Margaux

Named with the famed first growth, Chateaux Margaux, this region is famed for its most feminine style Cabernet Sauvignon in the world. Most of the wineries/Chateaux are clustered in the town centre, holding vineyards on the outer ring of Margaux. Led by the only first growth, this region has the largest number of second and third growths than any other commune.

The legend Chateaux Margaux is established in 1400, the biggest producers among the five first growth and the best looking Chateaux. The best Chateaux Margaux can be access earlier than the other four first growths, showing its great deal of perfume, fruitiness and finesse. Meanwhile, it could also stand for more than two decades, delivering complexity yet still perfume and elegant. Chateaux Margaux also produces spectacular oak aged Pavillon Blanc de Margaux, which could only be called the generic Bordeaux Blanc.

Palmer is the only one in Margaux village could challenge Chateaux Margaux for its quality and hence its price.
