Austria’s own variety, which is capable of making complex, full flavored, spicy whites often with a distinctive white flower and cracked pepper edge to them. It has a reputation of being a particularly food-friendly wine. It is made into wines of many different styles much is intended for drinking young but some is capable of long aging.
