Yoshihiko Shibuya, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Yoshihiko Shibuya (Yoshi) has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer effective from April 1, 2017.
Yoshi has twenty years’ experience of wine business in the Suntory Group and has a strong knowledge of the global wine business. Prior to his current appointment as the CEO of ASC Fine Wines, he was based in France for more than five years to manage Suntory’s wine businesses in Europe and relational maintenance with wineries.
Yoshi’s appointment is pivotal for ASC to gain even stronger global synergies between the Suntory Group and ASC. He is determined to take ASC to the new height of growths, customer service and partnership with suppliers and further enhance the appreciation for and sales of fine wines in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau.
Simon Wang, Chief Operating Officer
Simon possesses deep and broad experience in China’s imported wine business as well as in the international hospitality industry. Before he re-joined ASC, Simon had been the CEO of Kerry Wines in Greater China. During his 16 years’ service in the hospitality industry, Simon held many senior roles with a variety of hotel groups including Fairmont Hotel & Resorts, Mandarin Oriental and Shangri-La. He has established an excellent track record leading sales force in pursuing aggressive sales goals, setting strategic direction and providing good operational management. His profound experience and professionalism will be critical as we seek to take ASC’s business to the next level.
Richard Li, Vice President- Fine Wines
Richard joined the company in October 2002. He is in charge of overall financial activities of the company including accounting, finance, tax and operation strategy, Richard is also responsible for the management of open market fine wines including en primeur and auction business.In addition, Richard oversees ASC’s IT and logistics operations.
Prior to ASC, Richard served finance roles in multi-internationals including manufacturing and banking industry. He holds the Master of Business Administration and is a member of US IMA (Institute of Management Accountant), Richard speaks English, French and Spanish.
Robert Temple, Vice President – Brand and Marketing
Robert is originally from Britain. He worked in ASC for three and half years between March 2008 and September 2011. His last position with ASC was the General Manager – Hong Kong and Macau. His role at that time included the setting up of the ASC Hong Kong office in 2008 which quickly entered the top 3 distributors in the territory by value.
After that, Robert joined Sarment at the position of Managing Director. His deep and broad experiences in the wine industry and with ASC are critical as we seek to take ASC’s brand management and marketing to the next level.
Yasunori Kita, Corporate Planning Director
Yasunori Kita joined ASC as Corporate Planning Director in January 2013.
Yasunori has nearly 20 years of business experience in strategic planning. His experience spans the liquor & beverage industry, where he was involved in corporate level strategy as well as food & beverage division strategy. In ASC, he is responsible for overall company strategic planning and working closely with senior executives and various divisions to strengthen the operating foundation and ensure sustainable growth of the company.
Alain Chi, Finance & IT Director
Alain has nearly 20 years of business experience in Finance & IT. His experience spans the wine and other consumer industry, where he was working in both corporate and regional level. In ASC, he is responsible for overall company Finance & IT and work closely with senior executives to provide the visibility & insight, identify the structural risk & opportunity, strengthen the operating efficiency & transparency and support the further growth of the company.
Eileen Pan, Senior Human Resources Director
Eileen joined ASC Fine Wines as Senior Human Resources Director in July, 2017，fully responsible for ASC’s Human Resources Division.
Eileen has come from a solid HR background with sound operation experience in organization design, C&B, staffing & retention, people development and strategy planning to support business growth. Prior to joining ASC, Eileen was HR Director with numerous top FMCG Companies and Luxury brands, Estée Lauder China, L’Oréal China, Dazzle Fashion and Swatch Group China.
Arthur Wang, General Manager – East China
Arthur has solid experiences in the wine and spirits industry. He worked for ASC as General Manager – East China between July 2009 and December 2010. After that, he joined Links at the position of General Manager for 2 years and Jue Rui Industry at the position of Vice President for 1 year. Arthur has established an excellent track record leading the sales force in pursuing aggressive sales goals, setting strategic direction and providing good operational management.
Simon Liang, General Manager-North China & West China
Simon Liang joined ASC in 2004.
He has a solid foundation for his development in ASC coming from two decades of experience within international hotel management, including Shangri-la, Radisson SAS, and Marco Polo.
During his years in ASC, he has accumulated great experience in many different channels and departments such as On-Trade and Off-Trade the North China Region. In 2010, Simon was promoted to take a directorship role in the Headquarters in Shanghai to found and to lead ASC’s Business Development Department followed by three years’ service as the General Manager of the South China Region. Simon was proudly appointed as the General Manager of the North China Region in 2013 and his responsibilities were extended to cover ASC’s West China Region from July 2017
Jonathan Mather, General Manager – Hong Kong and Macau
Jonathan has led multiple teams to success and helped many people realize their full potential, while developing the wine and spirits industry in Asia and the USA.
After starting his journey as a classically trained chef and restaurateur with a Culinary Arts degree followed by a BA at The School of Hospitality Business, at Michigan State and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business as well as advanced WSET certifications. He has established broad experience in multiple sectors including import, distribution, hotels and restaurants.
Jonathan is truly passionate about spreading food and beverage culture, especially when served together to create a great experience.
