Don St. Pierre, Sr. founded ASC Fine Wines in Beijing in 1996. His son, Don St. Pierre, Jr., joined the company in 1998 and began expanding the company's operations from Shanghai. Also in 1998, Mr. Gernot Langes Swarovski (of Swarovski Crystal fame) invested in ASC to finance the rapid growth the company was experiencing - more than 50% growth every year.

In 2003, ASC Fine Wines enhanced its portfolio when it became the China distributor of Riedel crystal glassware, the world's leading producer of quality wine glasses and decanters.

Over the past decade, ASC Fine Wines has built China's top wine import and distribution company. The business has come a long way since the days when the market for imported wine was confined to a handful of five-star hotels. Today, our customers include retail outlets, high-end restaurants, corporations and private wine collectors as well. ASC is the largest wine supplier to the top hotel groups in China, including Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, the InterContinental Hotels Group, Marriott International and the Accor Group, plus supermarkets and hypermarkets including Carrefour, Metro, Wal-Mart and ParknShop. In the process of building the business, ASC has developed a unique understanding and ability to deal with the complex Chinese business environment.

As the name suggests, ASC Fine Wines focuses on high quality wines. ASC imports 800 different wines from 13 different countries, giving customers a comprehensive selection - and unparalleled quality. Our stable of 80 wineries includes the best-known wine brands and producers from the most important wine growing regions throughout the world.
