The history of BODEGA NORTON
The tradition of Bodega Norton began in 1895 when Englishman Sir Edmund James Palmer Norton established a winery in Mendoza, in the foothills of the Andes,an area today knows as Argentina’s leading wine-growing region. In 1989 prominent Austrian businessman Gernot Langes-Swarovski (of the Swarovski Crystal family) purchased Bodega Norton. Today his son Michael manages the winery and 680 hectares of estate vineyards with a team focused on modernizing and expanding the winery while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
